Knowledge Discovery from Text

In 2016 and 2017 I co-designed/taught Knowledge Discovery from Text with Ben Van Durme. This course is designed to be a similar experience to internships at industrial research labs where the goal is to meet the needs of information workers faced with large volumes of user-generated text data.

Supervisions

While a grad student at Cambridge I supervised several courses: supervising is similar to TAing, but involves creating, grading, and discussing problem sets to reinforce and evaluate materials from the lectures.

  • Information Retrieval (Fall 2009, Stephen Clark)
  • Artificial Intelligence I (Fall 2010)
  • Artificial Intelligence II (Spring 2010)
  • Bioinformatics (Spring 2010, Pietro Lio)
  • Probability (Spring 2011)
